The interim budget was presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described this budget as the budget for building the future of India. The Prime Minister congratulated the entire team of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this wonderful budget and said that this budget will empower the four pillars of developed India: youth, poor, women and farmers.
On the interim budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today’s interim budget is innovative and inclusive and assures continuity, which guarantees to strengthen the foundation of the developed India of 2047.” He said that the youth aspirations of Young India have been taken care of in this budget. Emphasis has been laid in this interim budget on creating new income opportunities, so that the middle and poor class can be empowered.”
He said that the new income tax scheme announced today will provide great relief to one crore middle class people. The previous governments had kept this huge sword hanging over the heads of the common people. He further said that his government sets a big target and achieves it and sets an even bigger target for itself in the future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that more than 4 crore houses have been built for the poor in villages and cities and now he has set a target of building 2 crore more houses. Earlier he had set a target of making 2 crore Lakhpati Didi, which has been increased to 3 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Two important decisions have been taken in the budget. It has been announced to create a fund of Rs 1 lakh crore for research and innovation. Expansion of tax exemption available to startups has also been announced in the budget.
