Actor Ronit Roy expressed his anger at a food delivery rider. He wrote on the social media post that I had almost killed that Swiggy boy.
Actor Ronit Roy asked online food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy through social media platform X Post whether they care about the lives of their drivers.
Actor Ronit Roy wrote, Swiggy, I almost killed one of your riders. He wrote that a delivery boy riding an electric moped drove into the oncoming traffic on the wrong side of the road. Driving an electric moped does not mean driving it on the wrong side of oncoming traffic. But do you care about their lives or not or is this just a business for you and everything will continue as usual?
Swiggy retweeted the actor’s tweet and said, Hi Rohit! We expect our delivery partners to follow all traffic rules. We are paying attention to whatever you have said, if you have any details, please share so that we can take necessary action.

Netizens started giving their reactions to this post and soon this post went viral.
One user said, I was going to tweet this to Swiggy some time ago. I have also seen Swiggy delivery partners breaking traffic rules in Bengaluru. Some delivery partners have even been beaten up for hitting their two-wheeler with someone else’s vehicle.
Another user said that the unrealistic TAT set for Swiggy riders is responsible for breaking traffic rules.
Another user commented that this is civic sentiment. But Swiggy will have to develop a culture where if any Swiggy rider breaks the traffic law and someone complains about it, he should be additionally punished by Swiggy. Fast TAT does not justify breaking traffic rules for order delivery.
Actor Ronit Roy made his debut with Jaan Tere Naam in 1992. He got limelight from the television show ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’. In this show he played the role of business tycoon Rishabh Bajaj. His work in the 2010 film Udaan was highly appreciated. He came back to films with this film.
