Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in a one-sided final to become the IPL champions for the third time. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad were reduced to just 113 in 18.3 overs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad team could not last long against the KKR bowlers. Kolkata Knight Riders easily achieved the target of 114 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in just 10.3 overs.
As usual, Sunil Narine did not perform well in batting against Sunrisers Hyderabad. But Venkatesh Iyer scored a brilliant half-century of 52 runs for KKR, in which he hit 3 sixes and 4 fours.
